 CIVIL/HIGHWAY ENGINEER — Chicago, IL

Wynndalco Enterprises is seeking a civil/highway engineer responsible for assisting in the design and preparation of plan submissions related to interstate and arterial roadway design, highway interchanges, local roadways, bridge replacements/rehabilitations, and intersection projects for IDOT, Illinois Tollway, and various other public agencies. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the civil engineering field.
  • 5 years + of design experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer.
  • Experience in MicroStation, Geopak and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with IDOT and Illinois Tollway procedures, policies, standards and publications.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform detailed roadway calculations.
  • Construction support – field investigations and inspections.
  • Assist with computation of plan quantities to support cost estimates.
  • Support completion of final submittal documents for design and/or rehabilitation projects.
  • Preparation of plans using Microstation, Geopak and other design software.
  • Works well independently and in team environment.
  • Commitment to quality work and timely communication.

STRUCTURAL ENGINEER — Chicago, IL

Wynndalco Enterprises is seeking a structural engineer responsible for assisting in the design and preparation of plan submissions related to highway and rail transportation projects for IDOT, Illinois Tollway and various other public agencies… [expand title=”DETAILS” notitle=”true” trigclass=”arrowright”]

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the civil/structural engineering field 5 years + of design experience.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer. SE preferred.
  • Experience in MicroStation, MS Office and structural design software.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD, AREMA, IDOT and Illinois Tollway procedures, policies, standards and publications.
  • Proficient using bridge design software
  • Experience and expertise with MicroStation, and MathCad software desirable
  • Proven experience in working on multiple projects concurrently
  • Monitor and adhere to budgets and schedules

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project management and project execution
  • Development of structural calculations and design plans
  • Preparation of technical specifications
  • Must possess excellent client skills and be able to enhance and develop solid client relationships.
